Bachelor's degree. Three years of managing development projects experience to include development funding sources and project management are required.
Experience with large, complex development projects, and knowledge of HUD regulations and requirements is preferred.
The position is responsible for managing the RAD County-wide program that involves management and execution of large high profile and complex redevelopment projects using the RAD program. Duties include conducting meetings with HUD federal reviewers, compiling and submitting applications and documents to HUD, assuring compliance with RAD program regulations, overseeing consultants, reviewing developer agreements, drafting RFP documents for the developer procurement process, and managing public meetings with residents, stakeholders and community organizations.
Pursuant to the authority in Chapter 8B of the Code of Miami-Dade County, when there is a declared state of emergency issued for any portion of Miami-Dade County, all employees of PHCD will be required to adhere to directives from the Mayor or the Mayor's designee to report to work and perform all duties assigned during a declared state of emergency.
