The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh will apply for a $50 million grant for the Hill District in 2022, officials announced at a community meeting Tuesday night. Los Angeles was one of eight cities announced Monday as recipients of $450,000 federal grants to support a comprehensive neighborhood revitalization plan.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funds were given to the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, which will use the money to develop a “transformational plan” by and for residents of Chinatown and for the benefit of residents of the William Mead Homes housing development.
