The City of Rockville breaks ground on building a multi-million dollar, mixed-use development in their downtown area.

What used to be just a parking lot will soon be a new place of attraction for Downtown Rockville. City of Rockville Mayor Bridget Newton said, “I think this project is going to be super. The partnership with HOC; 150 units of affordable housing for seniors.”

It's a new vision for a part of Kansas City that some felt was forgotten.

That vision is bringing new housing and development to the historic northeast along The Paseo. The plan is to take $30 million and turn into into a dream area for the entire community.

Back in September 2015, the Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded a grant to transform the Paseo Gateway near Independence Avenue, and The Paseo.

An up to $150 million tower with 350 apartments would bring new affordable housing to downtown Milwaukee under a plan by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh on Tuesday announced a plan to invest $2.78 billion in capital expenses over five years. He calls it the "Imagine Boston Capital Plan."

The budget plan, which covers the years of 2020 through 2024, would dictate what the city spends on public projects including schools, roads, bridges, streets and libraries.

On April 17, HUD published a notice in the Federal Register seeking input on several major issues related to Opportunity Zones. The notice from HUD’s Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) provides information on the intersection of Opportunity Zones and affordable housing nationally and requests feedback on nine questions concerning HUD’s role in encouraging investment in economically distressed communities.
