From Tap Into Jersey City:

The more than 75 year old Holland Gardens public housing project will be transformed into a regional model of what innovative public housing can accomplish, Mayor Steven Fulup and Jersey City Housing Authority officials announced Wednesday.

The Oklahoma City Housing Authority is preparing to replace the aging Towers Apartments, the only public housing downtown, as it begins an overhaul of its properties.

The first step begins with construction of Thrive, a 316-unit, five-story apartment complex to be built at NW 10 and Classen. Once completed, the complex will include ground floor retail, 38 affordable apartments, 140 assisted living units, and 138 one-bedroom replacements for the Towers Apartments.

A collaboration between the City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), the Cleveland Municipal School District, and University Hospitals (UH), Churchill Gateway will be the first in a multi-phase development and will be constructed on the site of the former Harry E. Davis Elementary School at East 105th Street and Churchill Avenue in Glenville.

The District of Columbia Housing Authority has partnered with Greenleaf District Partners, a team comprised of developers Pennrose, EYA and Bozzuto Group to begin negotiations on the redevelopment of the greater Greenleaf community, including Greenleaf Gardens, Greenleaf Senior, Greenleaf Additions, and Greenleaf Extension.

One of the largest affordable housing redevelopment projects in the region reached another milestone with the closing on financing for 178 Warburton at The Ridgeway, a new $56 million mixed-income residential complex of 81 apartment homes in Southwest Yonkers that is being developed by the Municipal Housing Authority for the City of Yonkers (MHACY) and The Community Builders (TCB).

Since 1929, Pancratia Hall has stood on the Loretto Heights campus, which acted as a southwest Denver educational facility for more than a century. Now, after the hall has been vacant for years, developers have launched a project to convert the building’s dorm rooms, chapel, attics and even its gymnasium into affordable apartments that are both one-of-a-kind and state-of-the-art.

Evergreen Real Estate Group today announced that two co-located library and senior housing developments the firm completed last year have won the 2020 Library Building Awards from the American Institute of Architects and American Library Association. Built in partnership with the city of Chicago, Chicago Housing Authority and Chicago Public Library, the projects were two of four winners recognized in the U.S. and Canada.
